Mexico City.- The morning of this Friday was reported the slight fall of the Popocatépetl volcano in Mexico City, specifically in the delegations of Milpa Alta, Xochimilco and Tlalpan.La head of government of the CDMX, Claudia Sheinbaum, reported in her account of Twiiter about reporting volcano activity, and asked the population to abide by preventive recommendations to avoid risky situations.
“There is a very slight ash drop from the Popocatépetl Volcano in @XochimilcoAl, @TlalpanAl and @GobMilpaAlta. Follow the following preventive recommendations,” he wrote.

Avoid outdoor activities
Close doors and windows, and place damp rags on the slits
Leave no food out in the open
Cover water tanks to prevent contaminating
Cover colanders to prevent drainage from cruglosing
Sweep the cinder dry and place it in a bag
Stay informed through official sources and not spread rumors
For its part, the National Civil Protection Coordination (CNPC) reported that derived from the activity of the Popocatépetl volcano in the last few hours, the alert traffic light is in Amarillo Phase 2.
The National Disaster Prevention Center (Cenapred) reported that through monitoring systems of the Popocatépetl volcano, 127 exhalations were identified in the last 24 hours, accompanied by water vapour, gas and low amounts of ash. In addition, 892 minutes of tremor were recorded. In its last report issued this morning, the Cenapred reported:
From today morning and at the time of this report we see the volcano with emission of volcanic gases and ash that are dispersed to the west.”
Finally, the Cenapred urges not to approach the volcano and especially the crater, because of the danger of falling ballistic fragments and in case of heavy rains to move away from the ravine sfunds because of the danger of mud flows and debris.
