As planned this Friday the new Plaza España was inaugurated, however the surprise came when municipal workers demanded a wage increase from the authorities, no more or less than the candidate for governor of the officialism Rodolfo Suarez (current mayor of the City of Mendoza)
Last Wednesday since ATE they filed a statement demanding a pay increase “what we demand here is the 30% pay increase that is owed to workers since 2018. We do not belong to any partisan space, we are working class that cleans the ditches, collects the waste and also performs tasks of Preventors and Security” said the holder of the Association of State Workers, Roberto Macho.Before the surprising protest, of course that political speculation snised unexpected, and it was the same mayor and candidate for governor Rodolfo Suárez who angrily expressed “The intolerance of union ducks linked to certain sectors of Peronism take away from him to the citizens of Mendoza the possibility of enjoying the opening party of a new public space.”
