The capital authorities reported that from 21 October cyclists will be able to board their bike to the Metro every day after 10pm, even if it is not foldable.
At a press conference, for World Day Without Auto, officials mentioned that this measure of bikes and the Metro seeks to encourage multimodal travel in the country’s capital.

The head of the Mobility Secretariat, Andrés Lajous, also announced that from October 21, he will start a pilot program to confine an exclusive bike lane to Eje 2 Poniente, Gabriel Mancera-Monterrey, which will go from Avenida Universidad to Paseo de la Reform; as well as in Axis 3 Westeros, Coyoacán-Amores, on the stretch of Avenida Universidad a Avenida de los Insurgentes.
Similarly, it will initiate a pilot program for an exclusive public transport lane over Tlalpan Causeway, between Churubusco and Tlaxcoaque.
