translated from Spanish: Fernandez de Cevallos owes 946 mdp of predial, 26 years ago does not pay for it

Diego Fernández de Cevallos has a debt of more than 946 million pesos with the City Council of Colón, Querétaro, because since 1993 he has not paid the property tax on his ranch El Estanco, located in that municipality.
In these 26 years, the total debt of the panista, with fines, surcharges and upgrades, amounts to 946 million 890 thousand 993 pesos. According to the City Council, the El Estanco ranch has 1,211 cadastral keys.
The City Council of Columbus detailed to Animal Político that the El Estanco ranch has an approximate area of 134.87 hectares, without considering green areas, parking lots and streets or roads.
In media interview upon leaving the opening of Kaizen Industrial Park, the municipal president of Colón, Alejandro Ochoa Valencia, stated that both the panist and the rest of the delinquents have already been notified about their debts and that of no pay as soon as possible the properties will be seized.

“We’re not going to increase property or collect new taxes, which if we’re going to have a real estate recovery strategy (…) we are already in embargo proceedings and the municipality in one way or another has to recover the overdue portfolio,” said Ochoa Valencia.
In addition to the panist’s ranch, other of the lands that have important deeds are the fractions of La Ponderosa and Esperanza, which already have some lots sold but are not occupied.
On the case of Fernández de Cevallos, the edil assured that it “has never paid since the ranch was owned by Mario Moreno Cantinflas, they only made a fractionation but are not developing it (…) they were asked to come closer, they were given an alternative and told that if they weren’t going to develop it they would return it or change the land use to agricultural and they don’t want to, they just speculate it and we won’t allow that.”

Ochoa Valencia pointed out that if the owners of these three properties come to talk there could be a negotiation and discounts, but if not the City Council will take legal action and seize the properties whose land use can benefit the inhabitants Columbus.
“I don’t like that for three private individuals we have such a high overdue portfolio (…) we are going to implement this collection and collection strategy because it is not worth some settlers if they do what they are concerned and for a few delinquents we can not execute works that could be done with that tax collection,” he said.
So far Diego Fernández de Cevallos has shown no position on his debit.
