President Andrés Manuel López Obrador reported that José José’s remains can be moved to Mexico on a Mexican Air Force plane, as long as the singer’s relatives reach an agreement, so he called the singer’s children and wife to achieve truce.
“We cannot get in, just exhort them, that if there are differences, that they make a truce, that homage be made, and then, if they decide to continue their differences, they are in every right, but let us see if they can be reconciled for this matter,” he said.

At a press conference, he disclosed which family of the interpreter requested the Secretariat of National Defense (Sedena) to move the performer’s body to national territory and he has already authorized it.
López Obrador said that the consul of Mexico in Miami, United States, has helped in everything necessary in this case, “and if the agreement is reached if we are going to move the body, the remains, if the relatives deem it convenient, that is a decision we have made He said.

López Obrador stated that José José along with other artists such as the “great composer” Juan Gabriel, Jorge Negrete, Pedro Infante, the “popular poet” José Alfredo Jiménez, and Agustín Lara, are part of the artistic life of the country and therefore must be recognized.

The president said that what he can do now is a call for agreements “because the singer José José is a character of all Mexicans”.
“Hopefully and the family members will agree, I think they will do it; the government will provide all the support and here it would be held (the homage),” he said, although he asked to consider the general interest of Mexicans who enjoyed, enjoyed and loved the artist.
Just on October 6, José José’s youngest daughter Sara said in an interview with Univision that the remains of Mexican singer José José will be cremated and some of the ashes will be moved to Mexico, and another will stay in Miami.
