The early morning of Sunday, a fire broke out in the Zacatecas building, in the Tlatelolco Habitat Unit, which left at least one person dead and more than 300 evacuees.
The Mexico City Fire Corps reported that the conflagration was caused by an electrical fault on the 17th floor, which showed partial involvement, as did the 21st floor, while on floors 18, 19 and 20 three departments were affected in its entirety .
One person died at the scene, and 20 people were rescued and none warranted transfer to the hospital.
Five pets suffered severe burns.

According to preliminary press reports, in the Deportivo Antonio Caso, located Reforma 286, a temporary hostel was enabled for the 330 people evicted from the Buildings Coahuila and Veracruz, near the property where the fire was recorded.
