The legislator emanating from the Green Environmental Party of Mexico (PVEM), proposes in his initiative to add Article 23a and repeal paragraph (c) of Article 24(c) the Law on Communications and Transport of the State.
In his explanatory memorandum, the Green MP mentioned that concessions are a tool or means of control of the State, power groups, and some organizations; to the detriment of the same steering wheel workers.
“The State cannot side with those who take advantage of this situation by taking political or partisan benefit from this situation, which generates corruption, insecurity, since the sale of concessions, is in itself illegal, puts those who alienate it at risk.”

In subsequent interview, Núñez Aguilar mentioned that with the elimination of the collection of concessions the COCOTRA will have to dictate parameters of control and registration of taxis, but it would no longer be a collection issue, giving drivers the possibility to invest that in their units or in using technologies to make them more competitive.
