Morelia, Michoacán.- With the approval of a draft agreement promoted by Baltazar Gaona García, local deputy of the Labour Party (PT), the Congress of Michoacán will send an exhortation to the municipal president of Morelia, Raúl Morón Orozco, to start from his faculties instruct the holders of the Municipal Security Police Station, the Ministry of Markets and Squares, and Inspectors, to train, certify and update their staff, so that they do not violate the rights of street traders in the historic center of the Michoacan capital.
By way of justification, the petist legislator recalled article 21 of Mexico’s Political Constitution, which marks the actions of public security institutions under the guidelines of legality, objectivity, efficiency, professionalism, honesty and respect for human rights.
Gaona García recalled cases in which municipal inspectors have raped street vendors by throwing away their products with arrogance, as well as the time when municipal police arrested an older adult couple for selling food outside the House of Culture in the Historic Center.
To the point of agreement of the petista, he was included in the creation of a promotion for work for the amion, a suggestion by the deputy of Morena, Fermín Bernabé Bahena.
The exhortation was established as an urgent and obvious resolution thanks to the vote of 23 congressmen.
