translated from Spanish: Hacienda prepares a complaint against Robles for sale of land

Santiago Nieto, head of the Financial Intelligence Unit (UIF) of the Ministry of Finance, reported that another criminal complaint is being prepared against Rosario Robles, former secretary of Sedatu and Sedesol, for the sale of federal land and territorial reserves.
“We are working on the issue of federal lands that were marketed for the purpose of filing the corresponding complaints in both criminal and administrative matters,” he said.
The investigation is because the Sedatu allegedly sold 1,700 hectares of land facing the sea of San Quentin, Baja California, when Robles was head of the Ministry of Agricultural, Territorial and Urban Development.
The land had been valued by an expert from the then Office of the Attorney General of the Republic (PGR) at 1.240 million pesos, but the Sedatu sold it at 61.4 million pesos.
This inquest, Nieto said, is in addition to the one that was presented in the Master Scam case.
“What the president has said has been very clear, we need to have a zero-tolerance policy for corruption and impunity. We continue throughout the investigation process.”
Just on October 22, Judge Felipe de Jesús Delgadillo Padierna determined that Rosario Robles will remain in prison as part of the judicial process he faces for the crime of improper exercise of the civil service.
She has been held in the Santa Martha prison for the legal process she faces.
