The Panist politician, Diego Fernández de Cevallos, paid 12.7 million pesos for a historic property tax debit in the municipality of Colón.
The city council informed in a statement, that the owner of the property known as Villas del Estanco or Rancho El Estanco, presented himself to the municipal tax authority, fully proving that character.
He noted that after addressing and resolving the considerations made by a person who is legally taxable, legitimately applying deductions from any taxpayer in the municipal territory, the tax due was covered in its entirety, being aware of the bimestre running.

The total amount of income to the municipal area was in the amount of 12 million 763 thousand 239 pesos with 68 cents.
“At the express request of the taxpayer, public knowledge is made, reiterating that according to law the file has been concluded and can be consulted in the terms of the law,” he said.
It should be remembered that the overall debt of the former presidential candidate was 984.7 million pesos, but it was covered once the payment equivalent to 1.3% was made, in compliance with the legal rules.
The deed of the Queretano politician comes from 1993 and, according to Mayor Alejandro Ochoa, the deductions applied to the case are in accordance with the legality.
