Morelia, Michoacán.- Through a statement it was reported that the deputy Sergio Báez Torres, endorsed by voting in favor of the opinion for the creation of an inter-municipal body called “Intermunicipal System of Collection, Management, Treatment and Disposition Municipal Solid Waste in the Ciénega Region”.
The legislator stressed the importance of addressing urgent problems in the municipalities of Michoacán
The representative of District XXI, stressed that thanks to the participation of the Commission in the Regional Forum for the Construction of a New Municipal Organic Law, in that region, allowed deputies to account for the problem of pollution of the municipalities of the area Ciénega, by depositing solid waste in uncontrolled and open spaces.
For the above, the congressman emanating from the National Regeneration Movement (Morena) party expressed full support for the creation of the said agency, in order to support the municipalities of Jiquilpan, Sahuayo, Venustiano Carranza, Villamar and Cojumatlán de Regules.
“It is good that exercises like this can be given so that inter-municipal work can help improve many regions of the state.”
He also acknowledged the complexity of reaching consensus among mayors and their lobbyists, so he recognized the willingness of municipal presidents to land real coordination in favor of their rulers.
Finally, Báez Torres urged to follow up on the project, so that it can be replicated in other areas of the Michoacan entity.
“Surely it can serve in the future as an example that can be replicated in other regions on an issue so fundamental to health, for the environment, for the financial operation of the municipalities themselves. We are obliged as deputies to accompany him.”
