Lamberto Cisternas, spokesman for the Supreme Court, referred on Monday to the social crisis the country is going through. That the judiciary has an inesthefiable duty to precaution all the freedoms, rights and guarantees of individuals recognized in our republican tradition and in international treaties;3 that, in this sense, it is a duty to highlight the effort and dedication of the members of the Judiciary to keep the courts of the country in office, ensuring this way the rights of all people, with effective access to justice;4 that the work carried out in the performance of each of our functions must continue to be provided with independence, impartiality, political disregard, equanimity and full equality before the law and justice;5that we recognize in the dialogue of social and institutional actors and all Chileans the form and procedure to obtain the best solutions for our country, always seeking those that conceal greater unity for the institutional channels or those which the competent authorities have in accordance with the current legal order, which must be respected in this citizen conversation always in an atmosphere of peace, which has as its only north the common good and of all members of the nation.”
