Pennsylvania– The Pennsylvania man who confessed to kidnapping and murdering his girlfriend kept his Facebook profile and sent messages to family and friends pretending to be her, for weeks after he tied her up and suffopt her in the Las Vegas desert, according to new reports. John Chapman, 39, who is married but was also seeing his 33-year-old lover Jaime Rae Feden, lured the woman from the suburb of Bethel Park to Las Vegas in late September, promising a photo shoot, local media outlet KDKA reported.
Instead, he zipped his girlfriend’s hands and feet to a sign, then smothered her with duct tape, confessed, according to various means. He then removed the woman’s tape, suspenders and clothing before leaving it near the poster and driving back to Bethel Park, according to a criminal complaint obtained by KDKA.

During his interview with police, Chapman confessed to killing Feden in Nevada, Bethel Park Police Chief Timothy O’Connor told BuzzFeed News.For nearly two months, Chapman tried to maintain the appearance that Feden, who had VATER syndrome, a rare congenital condition that caused his small stature, was alive.
It’s making me sick now knowing that this was him who texted me all the time, Lawrence posted on Facebook.
Lawrence also told BuzzFeed that he believes Chapman, who he believes met his friend at a school for people with disabilities, had been posting photos and records on Feden’s Facebook account weeks after being last seen.

On Thursday, the day Feden’s family reported her missing to the cops, a deleted post on her Facebook page said she hated her family.
They need to stay out of my life. They called the police because I won’t jump to their wishes, the post said, obtained by BuzzFeed.
Chapman was charged Friday with kidnapping, obstruction of law enforcement and criminal use of a communication facility, police said in a statement. His wife, Maureen Chapman, said he was living a “double life” and called the ordeal “really sick.” Chapman has not been charged with murder despite his confession. Authorities said they recovered a body and are trying to determine if it’s Feden’s.
