Mexico.- It all started at 9:10 p.m. when fans had been waiting for the arrival of the rock group, Evanescence, so they began to get restless, coming to tear down the security fences and taking the musicians’ instruments to be burned.
The bands Slipknot and Evanescence for obvious security reasons had to cancel their performance at KnotFest Meets ForceFest held at Oceania Sports Park.
Security personnel could not contain the public. Several people took to the stage and began tearing the place apart and then set it on fire.
After the events, Evanescence said he was “heartbroken” for not being able to play at the KnotFest Meets ForceFest. He added that the safety of the attendees was paramount and that he would not risk it.
“We are heartbroken because we couldn’t play for you tonight, Mexico City (…) We love them and we’ll be back soon, that’s a promise,” reads in the tweet.

On the other hand, KnotFest posted in their Instagram stories that Slipknot’s performance would be postponed for the second day of the festival.
