State security elements killed five armed subjects during a shooting registered on Saturday in Villa Unión municipality in Coahuila, the State Secretariat of Public Security (SSP) reported.
Authorities detailed that the three government orders are already in this town, to be part of an operation against an armed group that entered the municipality this morning.
The SSP stated that the full response will be made and the fight against crime groups was confirmed to be permanent.
“These gangs will not be allowed to enter the territory of the state,” it was noted in a message released by the Coahuila state government, which asked the population to heed the indications in the filters installed in the communication channels.
This morning, shootings were recorded at Villa Unión, while in the State Congress the governor, Miguel Angel Riquelme Solís, presented his second government report where he highlighted the security strategies implemented in his administration.
Citizens broadcast videos showing vans with armed civilians transiting the streets of the municipality. Images of the facade of the municipal palace were also published with various bullet impacts.
