Morelia Michoacán.- Through a statement it was reported that the municipal president of Morelia, Raúl Morón Orozco, the Security Commissioner in Morelia, Julisa Suarez Bucio, participated in the day “everyone and we all need each other” in the auditorium of the Faculty of History in college city, as part of the work of the Public Security Strengthening Program 2019 (Fortaseg).
Achieving timely intervention to prevent aggression against a woman, an infant or older adults is a commitment by the authorities, Suárez Bucio stressed, urging the population to join in also denouncing cases where it is appreciated that violates the integrity of people.
He stressed that the Morelia Police has a Victim Care Unit where there are specialist agents for psychological care, legal advice and social work, which come to the call for emergency family conflicts, which has helped women get out of the violence circle by finding professional support.
Participants attended the Women’s Community Networks, which expressed the need to implement public policies to prevent harassment of women, to achieve safe and violence-free spaces, to raise awareness of the types of assaults, create a support directory to achieve self-employment, as well as establish psychological support groups, among others that will be followed up in the consequent weeks.
