While Lopez’s defense expressed a statement that “they welcome the hearing with peace of mind and satisfaction”, since “this hearing was primarily intended to rectify in court a key record: In its original statement before the Public Prosecutor’s Office, a Whistleblower dated his accusation in “winter 2016.” He also said that, after that, he never had contact with Mr. Lopez again” adding that “we are satisfied that the truth is being imposed. We will prove in the trial, with evidence, the total innocence of Mr. Lopez.”
