China.- Students from the College of Technical Professional Education (Conalep) of Guanajuato, took the first international place in the World Educational Robotics Tournament (WER 2019), which was held this weekend in Shanghai, China.
The Robocon team, made up of Diego Alberto Solórzano Rivera, Alberto Serrato Solache, Jonathan Uriel Rodríguez Hernández, students of the careers in Computer Science and Mecatrónica, led by their coach Edgar Iván Hernández Rodríguez, surpassed the participants of the category of BACcalaureate of the WER 2019.
In addition, Mexican elementary and high school students took second and third place in the tournament held on December 14 and 15 and gathered about 500,000 students from around the world.

In the Baccalaureate category, the Alfa Maravilla team, from the College of Scientific and Technological Studies (CECyTE) campus Comonfort II (Guanajuato), won the second place international and general.
While the third international place in the Bachelor’s category was taken by the Storm Bots team, from the Advanced Baccalaureate and Higher Education System (SABE) San José Parangueo, also from Guanajuato.
