For many people, the holiday season is the ideal time to share with family and loved ones, but it is also a time of solidarity and to look for ways to help others.
Therefore, we recommend the Christmas projects of some associations with which you can contribute, to improve even a little, the lives of people and animals in vulnerable situations.
It is an initiative that was born 11 years ago, so due to a family emergency the founders had to spend Christmas in the waiting room of a hospital. From that experience, the idea of handing out coffee, biscuits and food to people in the same situation arose.
This group also gives dinners to people in a street situation.
This year they can join the initiative in the following ways:
Donating in kind
Making good wishes cards
Helping to distribute
Helping bring volunteers and/or food
More information can be found here.
It is a civil association that carries out different social assistance activities mainly in Veracruz. One of its priorities is the attention to basic subsistence requirements of food and clothing.
Although they have solidarity initiatives all year round, at this time they have the so-called «They are wanted For Three Wise Men», where volunteers write to them by mail and send a letter that must be filled to later bring the gift to The Park of Mexico on Saturday, December 21 and Sunday, December 22.
There is also the possibility of accompanying them to deliver the gifts to Veracruz from January 3to 5.
If they don’t get to donate toys for the Three Wise Men campaign, they have other initiatives like «Backpack of Change», to donate a backpack with school supplies and «Give another use to what you no longer use», to donate things like clothes, blankets, jackets, shoes and toys.
You can contact them through their site or on social networks.
