Morelia, Michoacán.- Due to the importance for Michoacán of the development of science and technology, the chairman of the Board of Directors of the Local Congress, Antonio de Jesús Madriz Estrada, celebrated the delivery of almost 10 million pesos that will be invested in 70 projects that will drive the growth of these sectors in the entity, so reported in a statement.
The also chairman of the Education Commission recognized the willingness of Governor Silvano Aureoles Conejo to bet on the promotion of research and the development of science in the entity in all its aspects, “which will allow future generations can have better elements to meet their needs.”
Antonio Madriz, who attended as a guest the delivery of resources that will be applied in scientific, humanistic and technological research projects and activities in Michoacán, recognized the work of institutions and agencies such as the Instituto Tecnológico de Morelia, the Institute of Science, Technology and Innovation (ICTI), as well as the Electoral Institute of Michoacán (IEM).
The latter created the Fund “Scientific, Technological and Innovation Strengthening Program with Social Relevance, for the State of Michoacán”, which together tells us how important it has become for the entity to invest resources in projects to favor the development of science and technology, just to name three specific cases, he said.
