The mayor of the municipality of Ocuilán, State of Mexico, Félix Alberto Linares González, died this Saturday in the state of Morelos, after the plane crashing. The pilot of the unit survived but is severely reported due to the burns it presents.
PRD sources confirmed the accident and the death of the building.
According to the first reports the crash occurred after 2 p.m. in the community of San José Vista Hermosa, in the state of Morelos.
Meanwhile, the Morelos Prosecutor’s Office informed Noticieros Televisa in a preliminary position that the miscance may have been recorded due to a mechanical failure in the aircraft.
For his part, the voice of the municipality of Ocuilán de Arteaga told Animal Político that at the site of the accident are experts from the Government of Morelos investigating the causes of the collapse of the aircraft.
Regarding the state of health of the pilot, he reports that he suffered third-degree burns, so he was transferred to a hospital, although it is not known whether to a nearby one in Tequesquitengo, Morelos, or Toluca, Edomex.
Linares González assumed the municipal presidency of Ocuilán in 2018 and his term ended in 2021.
Just in July 2019, after he asked the federal government for support to end the clandestine logging, the building was the victim of a shooting attack of which he was unharmed.
