Authorities in Mexico City reported that since February 1, children in a public school in the country’s capital will also receive financial support, this will be 330 pesos per month.
“We were able to make a very large savings in the City Government. Mr. López Obrador taught us a formula called the Formula of Republican Austerity, of the Fourth Transformation, which means that the privileges of the senior officials are over and the corruption is over, and with that there are resources to allocate them to the people of Mexico,” said on Monday the head of government, Claudia Sheinbaum, during the celebration for the Day of Kings.

In a statement, the authorities detailed that the registration for children to access “My Start Scholarship” will begin from January 20, on the website: https://www.mibecaparaempezar.cdmx.gob.mx.
“The first dispersion will take place from February 1 on the School Supplies and Uniforms card and the benefit will continue monthly during this school year, until June 2020,” Sheinbaum explained.
The goal is for these supports to reach 178,489 preschool students in Mexico City. The aim, according to the authorities, is to “ensure access to education, support the family economic environment and motivate its performance”.
Currently, the Capital Government recalled, students from public elementary and secondary schools receive financial support of 330 pesos per month.
