translated from Spanish: Demre Director did not rule out outstanding PSU evidence in military compounds

The Director of the Department of Evaluation, Measurement and Educational Registration (Demre), Leonor Varas, did not dismiss the proposal of the rector of the University of Development (UDD), Federico Valdés, that the tests PSU can be surrendered in military compounds.
In an interview with La Tercera, Varas argued that “there must be options, so that whoever cares to give the test in peace and that does not care what enclosure is… to go there. The one who says it’s going to affect me that it’s a military compound, we have to find another one.”
“Today we need to think that students can finish their process under the conditions we have, not under ideal conditions. The best we can do. And for that, we do need help,” the Demre’s director added.
On the other hand, Varas ruled out the possibility of submitting the resignation to his post, stating that such a decision “would be extremely irresponsible”.
“This has to be finished. It was very difficult, we knew it was very difficult, and this has to be done well. At no time have I felt abandoned. I’ve felt tired, but not abandoned,” she said.
