The Popocatépetl volcano had a moderate ash explosion that generated a three-kilometre-high fumaer, Cenapred reported.
The National Civil Protection Coordination reported that the explosion was recorded at 6:33 a.m. on Thursday and that the winds dispersed the smoke column to the northeast. Another fumamp was presented at around 07:00.

On his Twitter account he detailed that the volcanic alert traffic light is in Yellow Phase 2, so the urge to the population is kept not approaching the volcano.
Civil Protection issued the following preventive actions for the alert level: stay tuned for official information, prepare important documents, conduct drills and know the location of temporary shelters, and develop a family protection plan.
In the face of the fall of volcanic ash recommended covering nose and mouth with handkerchief or mouth cover, cleaning eyes and throat with pure water, using frame lenses and avoiding contact lenses and closing windows or covering them.
