Morelia, Michoacán.- Through a statement it has been reported that Yunuén López Sánchez, known as “Yuni”, who was a social activist and lawyer, was kidnapped and found lifeless on January 9.
On 1 January, the young woman left her home aboard a red Mazda 2 vehicle, intending to reunite with a friend, was the last time she was seen alive.
According to the research folder, Yunuén López Sánchez’s relatives reported to the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) the disappearance of the 24-year-old girl on the first of January. The next day, they were contacted and informed that Yuni was abducted.
The kidnappers demanded a large sum of money from Yunuén in exchange for their freedom, facts that were reported to the Specialized Kidnapping Unit (UECS).

Following the complaint, an operation was implemented in the town of Atécuaro, in which he managed to arrest José Luis G., the person who intended to collect the ransom.
According to local media, José Luis was yunuén’s former colleague of the Faculty of Law and his friend.
Authorities found Yunén’s body in a property located in the town of Jesús del Monte in Morelia after receiving an anonymous complaint.
