The government of San Nicolás de los Garza, Nuevo León, launched a competition in which it will reward those inhabitants of the municipality who get the best results in a training and feeding program, to approach their ideal weight.
“35 Nicolaite participants weighing 100 kilograms or more are summoned. It will compete for 4 months to have good physical health and the right weight, in addition, will be provided physical trainer and nutritionist”, reads in the call.

The start of training is this Friday, January 17.
The inhabitants who get the first five places, according to the government of San Nicolás, will have a prize of 5 thousand pesos, “as well as nutrition advice and 6 months subscription in a gym”.
Between 2012 and 2018, the percentage of people with obesity in Mexico rose from 71.3 to 75.2%. According to the National Health and Nutrition Survey (ENSANUT) 2018, currently 3 out of 4 adults in the country live with this condition.
