translated from Spanish: 1,087 migrants entered, but most will be returned to their country: government

The National Institute of Migration (INM) indicated that on Saturday they entered Mexico “in an organized manner” – that is, accepting the conditions of registration imposed by the INM- 1,087 migrants.
However, he warned, most of them will be deported.
“National Migration Institute (INM) staff received foreign groups yesterday in an organized manner. In compliance with the Law on Migration and Regulations on the matter, the review of its migration status is carried out to offer different opportunities according to its specific conditions,” the Institute said.
“In most cases and once the particular immigration status has been reviewed, assisted return to their countries of origin will be made if the situation so warrants.”

Most of the migrants who applied to Mexico through the border in the states of Tabasco and Chiapas came from Honduras.
“The intake of the state of Tabasco has the registration of 424 foreign persons, and on the border of Chiapas, the immigration authority counts 663 incomes of people of Central American origin,” the INM said.
The government presumed that it had succeeded in “ensuring at all times that the migration flows received from the southern border are safe, orderly and regular,” and that “efforts by migrants to enter the national territory in a disorderly manner were unsuccessful.”
On Saturday, dozens of migrants, who take part in the caravan that heads to the United States and who left San Pedro Sula, Honduras, tried to cross through the border crossing without being registered, but a National Guard barrier prevented them from passing.
Only a few dozen followed the orders of officials of the National Migration Institute (INM) and crossed the gate in groups of 20.
Most of them were moved to La Mosca, a former winery located in Tuxtla Gutierrez and used during the last year as an extension of the 21st century migration station.
The units known as “La Mosca” or “El Cupape 2” have been operating as a detention centre for foreigners since June.
