Morelia, Michoacán.- The Municipality of Morelia, through the Directorate General of the Water And Sanitation Operator Agency (OOAPAS), maintains a working table with representatives of the Workers’ Union of the OOAPAS (Staooapas) for negotiate the wage increase for workers, with the confidence to come to fruition between the two parties.
In the administration of the municipal president, Raúl Morón Orozco, respect for the working base, has been a constant, for which several meetings have been held with representatives of the Staooapas, in search of an agreement.
The director of OOAPAS, Julio César Orantes Avalos, stated that respect between both sides will be important to expedite the consolidation of the new work scheme and reiterated that he will maintain the line proposed by the mayor, in conducting the negotiation with total responsibility and based on the financial capabilities of the unit.
Orantes Avalos noted that as part of this administration, OOAPAS is committed to working to safeguard the Agency’s operationality and financial health, recalling that the priority is to provide a quality service to the Moralians.
