The National Guard assured thursday night that there will be a sanction for one of its elements, which joked that it was throwing gas at migrants who crossed into Mexico over the Chiapas border.
“In relation to a video circulating on networks, where an element of the #GuardiaNacional mentions that it will use gas against a foreign person in Chiapas, it is reported that the person never had gas in his possession or exercised it against any person,” the Guardia said on Twitter.

“In addition, we retest their unprofessional attitude, which is why the corresponding disciplinary sanctions will be taken,” he added.
This is the video referred by the Guard, where the element says “here I bring the gas” to the migrants, and then smiles, while they were afraid to be arrested and deported:

While the National Guard claims that this element had no gas in its possession, on Thursday it was observed that other guards did release gas and used the riot shield, to dissolve the caravan, in which there were men, women and children.
In a statement, the government reported that a total of 800 migrants were arrested, then transferred on 20 buses to migrant shelters.
