translated from Spanish: Morena’s extraordinary congress agrees transitional presidency

The VI National Extraordinary Congress of Morena agreed on Sunday to establish a transitional presidency of a few months for the party’s National Executive Committee (CEN), which in turn calls an internal process to renew the leadership.
Alfonso Ramírez Cuéllar, a federal deputy, was elected as the party’s interim or interim president, as reported by the Millennium.
Although on the other hand Yeidckol Polevnsky, who still holds as president of the party’s CEN, was unaware of the provisions of the National Congress, noting that “the National Executive Committee is the only governing body of Morena that can establish the guidelines” for the change of direction of this political force.

The National Executive Committee is the only #morena management body that can establish guidelines for the change of direction of our party.
Unity in the party and support for president @lopezobrador_ are the way.

“We achieved quorum to install the Session of the VI Extraordinary National Congress with representation of the country’s entities, state committees, CEN members, National Councillors and more than 1310 National Congressmen. Morena va!” posted On Twitter Berthá Luján, president of the National Council of Morena, another of the party’s leadership bodies.
Earlier, on the same social network, Luján asked the militants not to be fooled, since a previous decision of the Electoral Court did not prevent this extraordinary Congress from taking place.
Following the declaration of the required quorum, the presentation of nominations and election of a president and holders of the portfolios of: organization, communication, diversity, training, production, nation project, Mexicans abroad, indigenous and peasants were endorsed.
Luján Uranga criticized the extensions given by the general secretary of the National Regeneration Movement, Yeidckol Polevnsky, to retain the position, without addressing issues such as electoral roll and credentialing.
Last October, the Electoral Tribunal of the Judiciary of the Federation (TEPJF) ordered the annuncial process to renew Morena’s leadership, amid the militants’ own claims for irregularities in the standard and suspension of assemblies.
