The Prosecutor’s Office in Quintana Roo reported on Sunday about the discovery of four bodies on streets in Cancun.
The first three bodies were located at 107 Balche Street and Chukum Street, the Bonampak Blue Fractionation.
“According to early investigations, gun detonations were heard during the early morning, but it was around 8:00 a.m. that the 911 emergency service received the report for finding three bodies on a path of terracería,” the Prosecutor’s Office said, in a statement.
According to the newspaper Reforma, the bodies had their hands tied, and their eyes and mouth had been bandaged with industrial tape.
The fourth body was located in streets of Cancun’s Region 235.
“A report reached 911 around 2:00 a.m., which indicated that there was a person on a path of terraceria, in the irregular jerico colony, to where the ministerial agents of the Prosecutor’s Office specializing in Crimes against Life and Personal Health, together with expertise services personnel, arrived to begin with the inquiries and the search for clues,” he said.
“According to the first investigations in the place were found shell casings and other evidence, which were secured by experts; while the body was transferred to the Forensic Medical Service,” he added.
On this case, Reforma reported that the body had traces of torture.
