Morelia, Michoacán.- Within the framework of the World Day of Environmental Education, the Municipal Government headed by the mayor, Raúl Morón Orozco, held different workshops aimed at promoting sustainable behaviors in daily life, in order to reduce the impact negative in natural resources.

This activity took place in the Plaza de Armas and involved the Secretariat of Rural Development and Environment, the Secretariat of Municipal Public Services, the Secretariat of Mobility and Public Space, the Ministry of Welfare and Social Policy, the OOAPAS, IJUM, Poliforum and IMPLAN.
Under this tenor, from 10:00 to 17:00 hours, workshops were held on: Fertilizer making, Waste separation, Water Culture, Nutrition and Health, as well as an exhibition of the SOS Museum, where different sculptures made with recycled material.
Morelia City Council joins World Environment DayRegarding environmental education awareness workshops, they discussed the environment, water, air and solid waste, and all of them sought to raise awareness in people and governments also on the importance of joint participation, to ensure the sustainable and responsible use of resources in our day-to-day activities.
The invitation is open to the Morelian families to participate in the different workshops that took place on Monday, in the heart of the Historic Center.
