The Faculty of Aragon Higher Studies of UNAM confirmed that on Wednesday there was an eviction from its facilities by a bomb threat against a feminist collective.
The alleged perpetrator of the threat, the institution reported, “was made available to the relevant citizen security authorities”, to delineate responsibilities.
“With the support of bomb specialists from the National Civil Protection Coordination; National Guard; of the state government and the municipality of Nezahualcóyotl, as well as the different areas of the Secretariat of Prevention, Care and University Security, after the corresponding review, the existence of any explosives was ruled out,” the FES said, in a statement.
With regard to the alleged perpetrator, the FES noted that his case was being reviewed in accordance with university law. “In your case, you will be punished under the rigor of it.
On Wednesday afternoon, the collective Feminist Violets FES Aragon accused that a man arrived in her separatist feminist cubicle located in the building of the sociology career, to want to give them a plant.
“We rejected it, however, this pseudostudent stayed out of the cubicle for a long time until he left, at approximately 3:30 p.m., leaving the plant outside,” the collective recounted.
After that fact, authorities activated the eviction.
According to the feminist group, the man singled out as allegedly responsible had previously threatened on their social media to blow up a bomb against them.
