Puebla.- With the firm objective of continuing to position Morelia as an attractive destination in tourism, the Morelia City Council through the Ministry of Tourism is already studying the success story of Puebla’s secret tunnels in order to boost the city’s Morelia’s underground project.
Roberto Monroy García in the company of an entourage in the area of architecture and restoration of the municipality, visited this tourist attraction of Puebla in order to listen and analyze experts who worked this project that has been a success in this city also Heritage.
He emphasized that the instruction of Municipal President Raúl Morón Orozco is to rescue this project and to be able to promote it as a tourist attraction enjoyed by morelianos, tourists and visitors.
Monroy García thanked the readiness of civil associations and the municipal authority of Puebla for sharing information and the experience of the tunnel project through Dr. Sergio Vergara Berdejo who developed this project and Dr. María Graciela León Matamoros, Manager of the Historical Center and Cultural Heritage of Puebla.
Both authorities stressed the importance of rescuing the historical, cultural and architectural legacy of cities to make it known and that in turn becomes a tourist attraction strengthening and benefiting the business sector as hoteliers, restaurants, tour guides, trams and service providers as this city currently does.
