Uruapan, Michoacán.- One kidnap victim was released and two suspected criminals ended up being shot down in an operation of the Specialized Kidnapping Combat Unit (UECS), under the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE). In the midst of a shooting clash between law enforcement and suspected offenders, one minor died from “lost bullets” and three more people were injured.
In this regard, it was learned that when they heard the case, the anti-kidnapping agents acted and the victim of the illegal it was released safely. The law representatives continued with the investigation and the alleged hijackers tried to escape in a vehicle.
The alleged offenders took one minor and three others in the car they were moving in, and they didn’t care, they shot the anti-kidnapping officers and put these four unarmed civilians in their midst.
The shooting was recorded on the Uruapan-Gabriel Zamora road, in the vicinity of the town of Matanguarán, located in this municipality of Uruapan. As a result of the events the two suspected criminals were shot down and unfortunately the youngest perished at the site due to the seriousness of the injuries he suffered, while the other three civilians who also travelled with the now-western were injured and channeled by local paramedics to a hospital in the region.
With regard to the subject, the FGE tweeted on the day in its official account (@FiscaliaMich): “After the release of victim of kidnapping and continuing with investigative work, this afternoon, #FGEMich held confrontation on the Uruapan-Gabriel Zamora road. Two alleged plagiaries were shot at the scene, carrying firearms.
“In fact, a minor travelling in the unit of the alleged offenders died and three more people were injured, who are cared for in a local nosocomium. Expert services personnel are currently conducting on-site actions and UECS is continuing with investigative acts related to kidnapping.”
