President Andrés Manuel López Obrador insisted that in order to end femicides in the country, the causes must be addressed and that society must be given values.
“I insist because you already see are persevering, I insist that you must addressing the causes, that there must be severe laws, punishments, jail, coercive measures but the main thing is fighting for a better society,” the representative said.

During his morning conference he highlighted the passage of prison sentences for the crime of femicide but reiterated that corruption and impunity must be ended, as well as cultural, moral and spiritual values strengthened.
“Unity must be sought in families, and even if they do not like it, public life must be moralized, public life should be purified. I am convinced that it is not only a crisis for lack of material property, it is a crisis for loss of values and the family is fundamental,” he said.
López Obrador said that the left made “the grave mistake of making aside the family” and left the issue to the right, in which he said there is a double morality.

“What has prevented further social breakdown has been the value for Mexicans the family, it is the main institution of social security.”
