Morelia, Michoacán.- In order to strengthen the strategic alliance between the Michoacana University of San Nicolás de Hidalgo (UMSNH) and the Centre for Innovation and Agri-Food Development (CIDAM) work meeting was held chaired by the rector of Nicolaite Raúl Cárdenas Navarro and executive director Elisa López Loeza.
This meeting emphasized one of CIDAM’s objectives of participating in agri-food chains to increase their technical and economic competitiveness, social benefits and environmental performance, articulating at the state, national and international levels scientific, technological and innovation capabilities, through the continuous improvement of these processes seeking customer satisfaction.
The Michoacana University, in its character as an owner partner, seeks to offer services to society in a more agile and efficient way through CIDAM, for this reason, at the working meeting it was agreed to join efforts to take advantage of the potentials of both institutions and join efforts for the benefit of the Michoacans.
After holding this meeting it was agreed to start with the offer of services from the Laboratory of Biophysics of the Institute of Physics and Mathematics and the National Laboratory of Nutrigenomics and Microbiotic Animal of the Institute of Agricultural Research and UMSNH forestry.
It should be noted that the Michoacana University is the owner partner of CIDAM A.C. in conjunction with El Colegio de Michoacán A.C.; The Food and Development Research Center A.C. and the Government of the State of Michoacán.
