A military man fired his weapon against a cyclist in Mexico City, while he was trying to cross in the streets of the Santa María La Ribera colony, within the Cuauhtémoc Mayor.

The Capital City Security Secretariat confirmed to Political Animal that the 19-year-old cyclist’s death was by firearm; the military vehicle carrying several elements rolled the bicycle, according to video surveillance cameras.

Capital authorities assured that after receiving the report of the “lost bullet,” they arrested the soldier who fired the gun.

So far, neither the Mexican City Prosecutor’s Office nor the Ministry of National Defense (Sedena) has provided information on the case.
