translated from Spanish: There will be no landing in Cozumel, says governor; is inhumane, it reverses AMLO

President Andrés Manuel López Obrador said this morning that the Arrival of the Meraviglia cruiser in Mexico will be allowed to arrive, only one inspection will be carried out to ensure that there are no coronavirus contagions.
However, Quintana Roo Governor Carlos Joaquín González said he will not disembark at Cozumel until it is reviewed by International Health physicians.
“The cruiser Meraviglia docked a few moments ago on the pier in Cozumel. The captaincy of Puerto authorized the docking for weather conditions. There is no landing authorization. The same review conditions that will be carried out by International Health are maintained,” the governor wrote on his Twitter account this morning.

The president ruled out that the ports in Mexico will be closed on suspicion of a cruiser with coronavirus cases.
“We instructed that the inspection be done and allowed to arrive, we cannot act with discrimination, they will comply with sanitary standards but we cannot close our ports or airports, or act in isolation or reject those who come to Mexico or transit through Mexico. Just take care of the health issue,” the representative said during his morning conference
The federal representative called the fact that he is denied landing a cruise ship in a country on health issues as inhumane, so he reiterated that his government will only apply the review protocol.
“If any cases (of coronavirus) are detected, it is taken care of. We have information that there is no such possibility. We cannot act inhumanely; there are protocols that are complied with, but it is not a ‘Here I do not allow them to dock’, we cannot act like this,” said López Obrador.
