According to the latest Epidemiological Bulletin issued by the Ministry of Health of the Nation, there are records of people with dengue in 15 provinces. In the territory of Bonaerense there are already 152 infected and two deaths were recorded.
The authorities call for redoubled prevention measures: eliminate mosquito breeding sites by discarding disused containers that can accumulate water (cans, bottles, tyres) and turn objects that are outside and can accumulate liquid when it rains (baldes, palanganas, drums). They also recommend changing daily the water of animal drinkers, air conditioning or rain drainage collectors, inside and outside the house, every 3 days; use alternative products (gels or wet sand) in vases instead of water, keep the courtyards and gardens unweed and uncover rain drains from the roofs.
They remembered as the main symptoms of dengue fever greater than 38oC without signs of respiratory infection, accompanied by headache, retro-ocular pain, pain of muscles and joints, severe general discomfort, reddish rashes in the arms and legs, itching, diarrhoea, nausea and vomiting. If any of the above symptoms are manifested, go immediately to the doctor to receive appropriate treatment. In this note:
