A plane of Aerolíneas Argentinas that was heading to the city of Buenos Aires landed as an emergency at Neuquén airport after suffering a depressurization in the cabin in the middle of the journey. Fortunately the emergency maneuver proved successful and there were no injuries. It was flight AA2667, which had departed at 13:25 on Sunday from Bariloche and was due to arrive at the Aeropark terminal, but shortly after taking off, this Embraer 190 model aircraft, enrolment LV-CIF, had an inconvenience and the pilot decided to descend. A video that a person recorded from his seat was broadcast via social media. The images reveal that the passengers remained calm and that the oxygen masks did not have to be placed, as the aircraft was at a height below 14 thousand feet.
“We are now at Neuquén airport after an emergency landing by cabin depressurization (that’s what we were told) It was 15 minutes of big scare and use of oxygen masks,” one of the passengers who experienced that moment on Twitter explained. Hours later the woman noted that “all passengers were relocated” on other flights that departed later on the same day bound for the Federal Capital.
