Morelia, Michoacán.- The Michoacana University of San Nicolás de Hidalgo (UMSNH), through the General Directorate of Libraries, invites the university community of all levels and the general public to the next Hemerographic Talk with the theme “Literature and violence.”
The talk that will be by Rodrigo Pardo Fernández, addresses the violence that constitutes one of the central themes of literature in all its types, from the child narrative to the stories of denunciation, as a way of representing and recreating the different human practices.
“Literature and Violence” aims to recognize several of these practices in literary texts, normalized by a tradition; the event is next Thursday, March 12 at 17:00 hours in the University Public Hemerothelibrary “Mariano de Jesús Torres”, located inside Ciudad Universitaria, with free entrance.
Rodrigo Pardo Fernández holds a PhD in Theory of Literature and Art and Comparative Literature from the University of Granada, Spain, a researcher attached to the Faculty of Letters of the House of Hidalgo since 2009; author of books such as Migration. Looks and reflections since the university (2018, coordinated with María Elena Rivera Heredia) and Literature (fragments). Anne-Louise Germaine Necker (2017, as editor); his project is about the fictionalities of violence.
