The Italian government on Wednesday has ordered to close all the country’s schools, institutes and universities until March 15 as part of its efforts to contain the coronavirus in the country. The decision, as reported by the Italian media, was taken during the meeting held this morning by the executive who chairs Giuseppe Conte and will be formally announced in the coming hours. According to the last official balance sheet, 2,502 cases of coronavirus and 79 deaths have been reported in Italy so far. Some of the cases that have occurred in other countries have been exported from here, usually by people who visited the north, the main focus of the outbreak. On the other hand, the Minister of Economic Development, Stefano Patuanelli, has decided to put himself in solitary confinement even though for now the analyses have gone negative, since on 25 February he met with the Lombardy councillor Alessandro Mattinzoli, who has given Covid-19 reports, informs the agency AdnKronos.In addition, the trip to Mozambique scheduled by the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, between 10 and 12 March has been postponed, according to ‘La Repubblica’.
