The Federal Oral Court (TOF) 1 ordered that the former Minister of Planning, Julio De Vido, be released in the case of Rio Turbio, so he will be released. In the same case, De Vido had received the benefit of the home prison in November. It was raised to trial in September.
Freedom is given after pre-trial detention was overturned in the case known as coimas notebooks. The Federal Chamber of Criminal Case overturned the rulings rejecting his release on the basis of the new law regulating pre-trial prisons.
De Vido is sentenced to 5 years and 8 months in the case for the Tragedy of Eleven, but until the ruling is firm he will wait for the appeals in the release.

The architect had been detained since 25 October 2017, when the Chamber of Deputies voted for his disregard. In the ruling, TOF 1 justified the decision that there is no “danger of flight or hindrance to the investigation.” De Vido will have his passport withheld while the ban to leave the country continues and must also appear before the Court every month.
