The student of the Iberoamerican University in the city of León, Nadia Verónica Rodríguez Saro Martínez, was murdered the early morning of this Sunday, March 8 in Salamanca, Guanajuato, the International Day of Women.
The young woman’s body was found inside her vehicle, with bullet impacts, on the road La Ordeña – Salamanca, Guanajuato.

According to local media, Nadia was 23.
The mayor of León, Guanajuato, Héctor López, mourned the death of the young woman.
My deepest condolences to family members and the university community of the @IberoLeon for the sensitive passing of Nadia Veronica in Salamanca. We trust that the authorities will punish those guilty of unfortunate acts like this that outrage and sadden us as a society

The Ibero León, meanwhile, demanded clarification of the murder.
«Ironic that the day women come to our country to shout NO MORE VIOLENCE against women, we received such terrible news with pain and outrage,» the institution said.
