Puebla.- Volkswagen of Mexico reported that 40 of its workers are isolated, at home, after contact with an external training provider that presents coronavirus-like symptoms (Covid-19). The company noted that this person is 47 years old and lives in Germany, but was on vacation in Italy before visiting the facilities of Puebla and Guanajuato, where he was in contact with the workers.
“When alerted by the Occupational Safety and Health team of our company immediately this person was anisled and is currently in a private hospital in the city of Puebla, until officially confirming the results of the tests applied. We have been working in coordination with the State Health Secretariat by applying the corresponding protocols,” Volkswagen de Puebla said to prevent the possible spread of viruses, employees, who were in contact with the patient, they stayed in their homes with their families until they confirmed or ruled out the situation. This group of employees collaborated with the company to create a “database of people with whom they were in post-training contact”.
“… we are taking all necessary measures privileging the health and integrity of our employees, their families and the general population,” the company ended
It should be mentioned that if the patient is found to be a Covid-19 carrier, it would be the second asymptomatic case presented in Mexico.
