The Italian Serie A and La Liga Española had already announced the suspension of their competitions and in the last few hours England and France joined, so there will be no Premier League or Ligue 1.
The English Premier League temporarily suspended activity because of the coronavirus and will resume on 3 April, at least, as announced by the English Football Federation (FA). Yesterday there was outrage because they had decided that it would be played with the public this weekend.
During Thursday night it was reported that Spanish Arsenal DT Mikel Arteta and Chelsea Callum forward Hudson-Odoi had tested positive for coronavirus, quarantined both campuses. For its part, Ligue 1, the first division tournament of French football, suspended its activities until further notice: “Following announcements by the President of the Republic to respond to the Covid-19 health crisis, the LFP Board decided to unanimity today immediately suspend the Ligue 1, Conforama and Domino’s Ligue 2 championships until further notice.”
