On Friday Tom Hanks (63) and his wife, Rita Wilson, confirmed from Australia that they have coronavirus. They became the first famous Americans to give positives to the Covid-19. The actor and actress are in Australia to make a biographical film by Elvis Presley, however, production was suspended and the recording team is quarantined. This Friday, after all the support and messages of affection they have received, the protagonists shared a photo from the place where they are in isolation – at a hospital south of Brisbane.
“Hello friends. Rita Wilson and I want to thank all the people down here (Australia) who have been taking good care of us. We have Covid-19 and we’re in solitary confinement so we don’t infect anyone else. There are some people where you could develop into a very serious illness. We’re taking it one day at a time. There are things we can all do to overcome this, like following the advice of the experts and taking care of ourselves, as well as others, right? And remember, despite current events, you don’t cry in baseball. Hanx,” Tom Hanks wrote referencing the film “His Own League”. For her part Rita wrote: “A little update for all of you Tom and me. Queensland Prime Minister Annastacia Palaszczuk said people who took selfies with Hanks in recent days should not be frightened by contracting the virus. A person has to be in close contact with someone who has the virus for at least 15 minutes to be at risk. However, both the cast and crew on set the film were being examined by health officials.
