Due to a strong hailstone in the eastern part of Mexico City, the roof of several naves collapsed in the Iztapalapa Abastos Power Plant as well as the roof of other establishments in the same town hall.
Mayor Clara Brugada Molina wrote on her Twitter account that the atypical rain recorded this afternoon caused the collapse of roofs in the market of Av. 5 de Mayo, the Elektra store of Axis 3 Oriente and Ferrocarril Río Frio as well as in the red and blue ships of the Central de Abasto.

These ships were located in the flower and vegetable area of the Central de Abasto capitalina.
Civil Protection reported that in the warehouse of Elektra there were six people trapped by the fall of the roof without injuries; while in Abasto Central there are six minor injuries who are being cared for.

The General Management of Works and Urban Development staff of the mayor of Iztapalapa already carries out desazolve work in the area to remove the accumulated hail.
