translated from Spanish: Deputy Claudia Mix officiates to the Ministry of Women to apply for the protective measures they have taken with women victims of violence during quarantine

Claudia Mix, Deputy Representative of the Common Party, officiated the Ministry of Women and Gender Equity in order to learn about the protective measures being taken with victims of Domestic Violence (VIF) during quarantine.
Within the document, the Member notes that while the recommendations by the authorities are to conduct a voluntary quarantine at the moment, in this context female victims would be more vulnerable to assault, since “for many women victims of violence in our country staying at home and remaining exposed to violent environments poses total danger, being more likely to be attacked by their aggressors by remaining in this lockdown together with them and reducing that context, have their support networks.”
Accordingly, the DEPUTY asked Minister Carolina Cuevas for “a detailed report on all measures taken on women victims of violence with particular emphasis on the number of cases to date.”
2. Detailed report of plans and protocols made available to prevent violence against women whose perpetrators have one or more precautionary measures in place in the context of Domestic Violence (VIF).
3. Detailed report of plans and protocols made available to prevent violence against women who have been willing to report their assailants, but who to date do not have precautionary measures in place in context of Violence Domestic (VIF).
4. Detailed report on strategies to contain episodes of violence against women, distinguishing in: (a) Victims who have been able to report VIFs; b) Aggressors have one or more precautionary measures in place in context of Domestic Violence; c) Cases not previously catarified.
5. In the absence of such measures, I request detailed information containing the reasons why the necessary measures have not been decreed to safeguard life in the integrity of women victims of domestic violence.
6. Detailed report on all measures, plans and programmes provided by this ministry in the event of a possible Compulsory Total Quarantine concerning women victims of violence within their homes.
